About Us
Honey Tree Preschool began in May of 2020, when Kelly Beal and Dustin Robertson, two friends from New Jersey, set out on an adventure together with one shared mission: to bring reliable, loving care to the mid valley and beyond throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. What started as a bold idea between friends has grown into a school we are deeply proud to call our own.
Honey Tree Preschool – is a large, licensed childcare center with two locations in the Roaring Fork Valley, serving children ages 6 weeks to 7 years. We’re a warm, play-based early learning community where children feel safe, loved, and excited to explore each day. We believe early childhood should be filled with wonder—hands-on learning, meaningful friendships, and the confidence that comes from being truly known.
Our classrooms are designed to support the whole child—social-emotional growth, early literacy and math foundations, creativity, movement, and independence. Through age-appropriate routines and engaging curriculum, children learn how to solve problems, express their feelings, work together, and try new things. We balance structure with plenty of time for play, because play is how young children learn best.
What makes Honey Tree special is our people. Our teachers are experienced, educated, and deeply committed to creating a calm, nurturing environment where every child can thrive. We partner closely with families and believe communication and trust are essential. We want you to feel confident not only in what your child is learning, but in how they’re being cared for—every moment of the day.
Whether your child is just beginning their childcare journey or getting ready for kindergarten, we’re here to support their growth with patience, joy, and intention. We’re proud to serve the Roaring Fork Valley and feel honored to be part of your child’s early years—helping them build strong roots and bright futures.
Why Honey Tree?
Honey Tree is a place that can grow with your child—from infancy through Pre-K—so families can enjoy consistency year after year. We offer enriching experiences like outdoor programming for our Pre-K students and field trips for children ages 3 and up, helping kids build confidence, curiosity, and independence beyond the classroom. We’re built for working families with extended hours (7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.) and a dependable schedule: we’re only closed 15 days per year. Most importantly, we create a steady, nurturing environment with familiar teachers, predictable routines, and strong communication—so you always feel connected to your child’s day and confident in their care.
