We are proud to open our newest Honey Tree Preschool in the Meadows Housing development, just above Target, and to serve the Glenwood Springs area and the greater surrounding valley. We saw a real need for more infant and toddler care in this part of the community, and we are thrilled to help fill that gap with three of our five rooms dedicated to our youngest learners.
Once children reach three years old, the adventures grow: our very own van takes them on field trips out into the community, turning the whole valley into a classroom. Above all, we prioritize outdoor fun and learning, giving children room to run, explore, and discover the natural world every day.
Fawn Room (6 Weeks ~ 1 Year)
Our infant room is a calm, nurturing space built around each baby's individual rhythm. Caregivers follow your child's own feeding and sleep schedule, offering responsive, one on one attention that helps babies form secure attachments. Days are filled with gentle sensory exploration, tummy time, songs, and plenty of talking and reading to build early language. As babies reach milestones like rolling, sitting, crawling, and pulling to stand, our teachers create a safe, softly stimulating environment that encourages every new discovery.
Fox Room (1 - 2 Years)
The Fox Room supports busy new walkers or crawlers as they explore the world on their feet. This is a time of rapid growth, and our teachers channel that energy into safe movement, sensory play, and hands on discovery. Children begin building early language through songs, books, and everyday conversation, and they start practicing simple routines and beginning independence. Warm, consistent caregiving gives toddlers the security they need to take on each new challenge.
Cubs Room (Ages 2 - 3 Years)
In the Cubs Room, language blooms and personalities shine. Children practice self help skills, begin potty learning when they're ready, and start engaging in imaginative and cooperative play alongside their peers. Our teachers offer predictable routines and gentle guidance that help toddlers name feelings, take turns, and build confidence. Art, music, movement, and story time fill the day while supporting growing fine and gross motor skills.
Owl Room (Ages 2.5 - 4 Years)
The Owl Room is where curiosity meets early learning. Through play based activities, children explore letters, numbers, shapes, and colors while strengthening the fine motor skills that prepare them for writing. Cooperative projects, dramatic play, and group time build social and emotional skills like sharing, problem solving, and following multi step directions. Our teachers nurture each child's independence and love of learning, laying a strong foundation for the next steps ahead.
Moose Room (Ages 3.5 - 5 Years)
The Moose Room is our pre kindergarten classroom, where children build the skills and confidence they'll carry into elementary school. Days are rich with early literacy, number sense, and hands on exploration of science and the world around them. Children take on more complex projects, practice writing their names and letters, and strengthen problem solving through games and group challenges. Our teachers foster independence, focus, and self regulation, encouraging kids to express ideas, work through conflicts, and follow multi step routines. By the time they graduate to kindergarten, Moose Room children are curious, capable, and ready to learn.
